Acting Anyone a success!

Thanks to all who attended the Acting Anyone workshop on Wednesday, April 25th! We are looking forward to a new series of Level One, Level Two and Masters classes. Things are really heating up in the Hudson Valley for anyone interested in jobs related to film and TV. And not just in front of the camera, but behind it as well...and on stage, throughout the region!

With three new sound stages and a dozen theaters in operation, Orange County is looking to create 30,000 new jobs in the arts and entertainment industry in the next five years. Willy-Gilly is gearing up to do its part with two new productions later this spring, "A Hustler's Life" and "Shadow Serenade". And at least two more are coming this summer and fall, including "Kill Me Twice", a modern story after 'grifters'.

What this all boils down to is jobs, jobs and jobs...and training, training, training for these positions! Keep your eyes on Willy-Gilly, as we begin our BTL (below the line) series as well, on Monday, May 7th from 1-4pm. Contact us for more details, here or at the website.

New films moving forward!

Here are some updates on two of Willy Gilly's new productions: "Shadow Serenade" and "A Hustler's Life".

Funding efforts continue to move forward and intert gathers from local sources. Presented last week at the Orange County Business Accelerator in New Windsor, New York, a group of local economic heads were very excited about the 1,500 to 2,000 jobs that these projects represent. In addition, $10 million worth of production can generate as much as $40 million throughout the community. Willy Gilly intends to produce both of these films entirely in Orange County and the Hudson Valley.

Willy Gilly says, "Thanks, Ed!"

Willy Gilly would like to thank Ed Devitt for his financial support as an aspiring actor/producer. He has done very well and we congratulate him on his successful investment in our film "Collar". Ed has already received his full payment on principal and will soon start collecting the profits on his major funding when the film hits theaters later this spring!

Two new films in the Willy Gilly pipeline!

Willy Gilly Productions is in advanced discussions with local investors to finance two new films: "A Hustler's Life" and "Shadow Serenade". With combined budgets of ten million dollars, Willy Gilly will bring 2,000 jobs to the area, with pre-production beginning in the next four to six weeks.

"Shadow Serenade" is a coming-of-age film about three young people who have been alienated by their peers in a football-crazed town...and the hero of the movie a real dog, named Shadow. (Think "The Outsiders" meets "Friday Night Lights")

Meanwhile, "A Hustler's Life" centers around a prodigal card player who can't find love...until he's playing for his life. (Think "The Cincinnati Kid" on steroids.) Release date for these exciting films is spring and summer 2014.

In the meantime, keep your eyes open for the local (and world!) premiere of "Collar", coming later this spring. (Be the first to guess where, and you'll receive two premium tickets down front! Tell all your friends!)
