Hooray! The Ides of March

Hooray! The Ides of March

Things are really cooking in 'Gollywood!' Major funding is due in at the end of the month, but even now we are wheeling, dealing, turning and churning! This spring is shaping up to be the best ever for Willy-Gilly, along with all of our partners and associates.

We are in the final stages of a major contract negotiation to create a totally unique performing arts/civic venue, a combination of 'first run' film (video), 'Live,' 'Classics' in original film formats, 'art house,' 'Indies' and educational programs that will be packed into a one-of-a-kind, local venue generating an entirely different event experience.

It will include fine dining for adults and a fun center for children of all ages to enjoy. We are talking “THE” place to be in the OC! Coming this May! Please, keep your eyes open for the blockbuster gala grand opening (time and place TBA).

In addition, Phase 24 Productions of California is set to launch production on a feature film (“Conduct Unbecoming”) and a sci-fi cable series (“Panacea”). Producer, writer, and director Christian Anderson has agreed to a contract for the marketing and merchandizing development services of our subsidiary, Film-RX, partners. They will be responsible for exploring and exploiting all of the products, goods and services that those intellectual properties possess. This will brand a new milestone for Willy-Gilly, who has kept Film-RX busy with “in-house” products. We are stepping out!

Tune in next week to see what, where and when our first live stage production (?) will appear. Guess the title, win free tickets! (Hint: Like Julius Caesar said, "Wherever you go... there you are!")

What, no statue?

What, no statue?

Once again, “Collar” has been overlooked the Motion Picture Academy of Arts. (MPAA). Big news, we didn’t win the Oscar again this year. What is Hollywood afraid of? The answer, any little picture with a big message.

However, of the thousands who have seen “Collar” now, our ratings continue to climb. Nine out of ten (99.9% among law enforcement professionals) of the more than 2,500 people who have experienced the film, not only whole heartedly enjoyed it but recommend it. Our latest reviewer offered the following “A great movie. Thank you for making it.” VV, Mount St. Mary College. If you would like to see “Collar” we would love to know about it. Our plan is to come to local theaters where demand is highest.

We await closure on the funding for this year and plan to continue distributing our film in the US ourselves this spring. We are seeking a domestic release to enhance our global potential. If you would like to support our efforts in any way, please contact us at contact@collarthemovie.com.
