'Twas the Season' Tis the Season!

'Twas the season! 'Tis the season! It's always some kind of season and the one of which we are speaking here is, 'The Awards Season!'

Golden Globes, SAG (Screen Actors Guild) Awards, People's Choice and of course, the almighty 'Oscars' have all been trawling for favor for weeks now. As much as I am generally opposed to 'artistic' competitions of this ilk (I think they are counter-productive!), as members of both SAG and the Academy, we're been getting Hollywood product in the daily mail and are expected to review and pass judgement on all of the candidates. This year is proving to be more than the usual challenge.

For once, there are many great films out there, but of the ones which we have viewed so far, of particular interest and merit are, "Birdman", "The Judge" and "The Imitation Game." They are outstanding! Great performances, ensembles, direction, scripts and visuals abound in this trio. Of these so far, I see my old friend Michael Keaton as front runner for, 'Best Actor' (BTW: Congrats on your Globe, Mike!). But, 'Best Picture' ain't so simple!

In any event, you can't lose by dropping a dime (meaning a tenspot) at the bijou to catch All of these nominees this year. Now that 'the Globes' are behind us and the Hollywood Press has weighed in and the noms for 'the Big O' are on the table, we are busy with the SAG selections. We have yet to view these, "Boyhood," "The Theory of Everything" (next on our list) , and "Cake" with Jennifer Annistan (way to go, Jen!) and then vote for those awards.

To tell you the truth, I really wish there was a good 'oater' (western) up for something. I'm still a Saturday matinee kind of guy! Love them thar' cowboys (not Dallas) and Native American (not Redskins) pics. Fact is, I'm not much for flicks about actors, (Hollywood or Broadway), but what the heck! Like I said, "Tis the season!" See you on Main Street! Peace & Love! €8-.D

At Last! Congress finally does something GREAT!!!

HOORAY!!!
We just got really good news this morning!
Congress finally approved the 181C deduction for Independent Films!!!  What does that mean?  If you attended our November 20th event, "The Bigger Picture", you would know that it means potentially huge tax benefits for many Americans holding too much cash at the end of the year.   If you weren't there, NO WORRIES!  Here is the scoop!
Anyone who invests in Independent Film will receive a federal deduction up to 15M (with a 3-year loss carry forward)!  It is a win/win.  If you, your company or any of your associates needs a federal deduction before the end of the year, have them contact us immediately.  We have film packages designed just for you!
On top of the federal deduction, we will be shooting these films in New York State, which means an additional 30% rebate from the State for the "hard costs" of making the film AND changes in the accounting proceedures make it possible to receive your credits right away.
Not only can you get the deduction, you can get the rebate!
Now is the time.  Catch it before it runs out at midnight on 12/31/14

Note: This is not a solicitation to invest.  As always, with any such opportunity you should  consult a tax professional.

Film and TV Poised  to Come to Orange County

Willy-Gilly Productions, Inc., in association with The Castle Event Center in Chester, NY, will host local professionals as they join together to present opportunities for Orange County  residents.

Vikas Varma, Esq. of 'de Ramon-Crush' law firm in Fishkill, NY will join us of W-GPI, Jon Van Cott and Ron DeBellis of Debellis, Van Cott and Associates, PC, both CPAs in  Goshen, NY, along with James Rotondo, MBA, a Financial Consultant and Director of Finance for Willy-Gilly Productions, Inc. from Warwick, NY to present some truly amazing facts about Entertainment and Media (E&M). This distinguished panel will detail a broad range of possibilities for Orange County residents, their financial and legal advisors on Thursday, November 20, 2014.

"When looking for your ship to come in, you better make darn sure that you have an anchor to keep it there once it's landed, even if you have to forge one yourself!" David Patrick Wilson

It seems that everyone is waiting for that fateful day when the next 'big thing' arrives, that 'thing' that is going to make everybody happy, everybody rich, everybody famous. We all want to enjoy the benefits and experience the rewards of something new, exciting and extremely lucrative.

However, seldom do you hear of anyone sufficiently preparing and positioning themselves to secure that great opportunity when it arrives.  Such is the case here in Orange County, where things are rapidly changing for the better and the possibilities to engage in such great good fortune abound.

Are you ready or will you let this moment pass you by?

Here at Willy-Gilly Productions, Inc., we have been espousing the gospel of American Entertainment and Media (E&M) for the past five (5) years.  We have been constantly touting the many virtues of a constantly growing industry, filled with almost overwhelming opportunities.

This Two Trillion Dollar (That's $2,000,000,000,000!) industry brings potential gains that can obliterate local unemployment and underemployment, as well as stem the attrition of young, ambitious, creative talent, who are leaving the region due to lack of lifelong career supports.  The E&M industry is poised to pounce on Orange County in grand fashion and at a magnitude that almost defies description.

For every individual, regardless of age, experience, background or economic standing, it will mean the massive expansion of the local economy, thousands of jobs and a potential deep reduction in property and individual taxes. In fact, we see 'The Orange Triangle' as, 'the end of the rainbow!' We believe that we are literally living in a potential pot of gold!

Far-fetched?! Over-the-top?! Too-Good-to-be-true?! If you have any interest in seeing for yourself how vast the opportunities can be, join us and our panel of experts:

        Attorney: Vikas Varma, Esq.

The Best is Yet to Come

WOW! How time flies when you’re having fun! Last Sunday (August 17, 2014) marked the 5th Anniversary of Willy-Gilly Productions, Inc. We are most grateful to still be in ‘the big (and still growing) game,’ given all of the events that have transpired since we first opened our doors in 2009. We have endured failed major funders, dishonest investors, insincere officials, corrupt theater operators, inept local administrators, public misinformation and the worst economy in nearly a century. Nonetheless, we remain committed to bringing the nearly  $2 Trillion Entertainment and Media industry to the Hudson Valley in a very BIG way, despite the growing efforts by Hollywood to crush the Independent Spirit through massive consolidation and collusion. We look forward to making some HUGE announcements in the coming months, regarding new ‘state of art’ facilities development, our productions and distribution that will potentially bring thousands of sustainable jobs and Billions of dollars in revenue to the region. Our first thanks go to God for His endless blessings and then, to ALL of the many good people who have worked with us and supported our efforts over these early years. To everyone out there, like the ‘chairman of the board,’ ‘old blue eyes,’ Frank Sinatra so beautifully crooned, “The best is yet to come!” Stay tuned! ‘Nuff said! €8-.D
